SUPER TIP: Homemade Bisquick Substitute

Updated: Oct 10, 2018

This is a quick and easy bisquick substitute! Simply put, baking mix is flour with a leveling agent and fat of some kind mixed together. Here is a recipe I found and modified for my Turkey Sausage Cheddar Balls.

Tools:

Bowl

Dough Blender OR Potato Masher OR Fork

Measuring Cups

Measuring Spoons

Ingredients: (This is a 1:1 ratio for substitution)

1 Cup Flour

1 1/2 TSP Baking Powder

1/4 TSP (pinch) Salt

1 TBSP Chilled Butter

Directions:

Mix all dry ingredients, cut in butter with your chosen tool until fully incorporated and the mix looks like corn meal (about 3-5 minutes).

For the Turkey Sausage Cheddar Balls I used 2 1/2 cups of flour & rounded up to an even 4 TSP of Baking Powder.
