Perfectly Easy, Gluten-free-sy, Pizza Dough

This is pizza dough for those gluten-free eaters! After multiple tries I think I've finally found the secret to making this dough perfect!! I use home ground bean flour but it can work with any gluten free flour! Just follow these simple instructions and enjoy!! I am not going to include multiple ingredient lists because this is a basic recipe that really doesn't have much modifications. HOWEVER! Feel free to play with your crust!! Add some herbs to the crust for a new flavor!

Ingredients:

2 1/2 Cups Bean Flour (or other gluten-free flour)

1/2 TSP Baking Powder

1 Pkg Active Dry Yeast

2 TSP Sugar (or honey)

2 TBSP Olive Oil

1 Cup Warm Water (no warmer than 110 degrees)

1 TSP Salt

Direction Thyme:

1. Stir together sugar and warm water in stand-mixer w/ dough hook or bowl

2. Add yeast and allow to bloom

3. Gently stir in salt and baking powder

4. Gently stir in olive oil

5. Add flour 1/4 cup at a time, fully incorporating it between adds (you may not need all of the flour)

6. Once the mixture starts to come together and is tacky but not super sticky, dump it out on a floured surface

7. Gently fold it on itself until no longer tacky and form a ball

8. Drizzle olive oil in large bowl and place dough ball in bowl to proof for 1 hour

9. Separate dough in half or 3rds depending on the size pizza you want

10. If using later, cover each part with saran-wrap and store in refrigerator

To use:

1. Preheat oven to 475

2. Line baking sheet with parchment

3. Gently flatten dough with fingers and create a disc

4. Place disc on baking sheet and using fingers gently flatten dough to 1/8" thick (not too thin to see through but thin enough to bake all the way through)

5. Poke dough with a fork to avoid bubbles

6. Pre-bake dough for 5-7 minutes

7. Remove & add Simple Pasta Sauce, Toppings & Cheese

8. Sprinkle with oregano & thyme

9. Drizzle gently with olive oil

10. Bake until cheese is melted, bubbly & browned (about 5-7 minutes)

ENJOY!
